"The Dick Staub Interview: Tom Wright's Theology for Everyone," Christianity Today, week of June 7. Interesting thoughts about Biblical interpretation and political/social implictations. It always fascinates me, maybe especially in the light of this week's texts, to see how folks integrate their interpretations with their actions, on a social-rhetorical level, anyway. On the one hand, if we do not integrate, provisionally, at least, how is it "scripture" for us? On the other hand, I've never seen a "correct" integration even if I've come across "good" interpretations! Except, of course, for my OWN integrations, which seem, often like the direct Word of God at the moment of that revelation, and then later, even those lose the luster of their perfection...
